Ok so ...
Once upon a time there was almond butter. And it was lonely. So it invited honey, rolled oats, vanilla extract, mini-chocolate chips, and a pinch of salt over to chill out. And while they were chilling out and binging on Netflix, they invented No-Bake Doughettes. #scene
We're currently addicted to no-baking. And, in particular, no-baking Doughettes. Expect more varieties of Doughettes in the coming months. We're kicking things off with Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Doughettes.
These pretty ladies are ridic easy to make. Legit. Your puppy could make them. (Do you actually have a puppy if so tag us in a pic please and thanks.) Also, they only have 6 ingredients.
OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP DOUGHETTES
Mix the almond butter, honey, vanilla extract and pinch of salt in a bowl. Pour in the oats and chocolate chips. Stir, stir, stir until everything's all mixed up. We like to use our hands at the end to fold in any runaway ingredients and shape the mix into a giant dough ball.
Cover your dough and pop it in the fridge for a half hour. Go do one of the exercises from our books ... or just stare at your fridge door as if that'll make them get done quicker. (It won't.)
It's been 30 minutes. Yay! Use a tablespoon to measure out portions of dough then roll them in your hands into perfect little Doughettes. You can also roll them in some sprinkles if you're feeling extra adorable. (You'll have to press them into the sprinkles to get the sprinkles to stay on. Don't be shy!) Store your Doughettes in the fridge and eat within four days.
Nutrition Note: We measured ours in slightly heaping tablespoons and got 10 Doughettes out of the batch. If making 10 per batch, these come out to almost exactly 100 calories per Doughette (110 if adding sprinkles). The perfect size for a pick-me-up snack or dessert!
